Wellness Programs and Partnerships

Personal care for your healthy living

Self-care is important for everyone, but this is particularly true for those touched by a life-changing disease like cancer. At START, we understand that your health it not just medical treatment so we have developed several programs adn partnerships to help you through the process.

The START Center for Cancer Care partners closely with ThriveWell Cancer Foundation. Through ThriveWell, patients can participate in wellness programs such as exercise classes, support groups, nutrition education, and artful healing programs.

Central to the mission of ThriveWell Cancer Foundation is the development of community-based programs that directly enhance the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors. Their programs are designed to improve the health and welfare of families facing the challenge of a cancer diagnosis. Thrivewll offer support beyond treatment and focus on prevention and survivorship.

Patient Assistance

The financial burden of surviving cancer can be profound and many cancer patients are without resources to cover the cost of their treatments. Even those fortunate enough to have adequate health insurance still can spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on out-of-pocket medical expenses to get the treatment they need. If the patient is a wage earner, the inability to work during treatment can have a devastating impact on the family’s finances Every little bit of patient assistance can help to lessen the financial burden of cancer treatment.
