Erica R. Hope, MD, FACOG, FACS

Dr. Erica Hope is a board certified, fellowship-trained gynecological oncologist with over 15 years of service in the U.S. Army, including seven years locally at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. She brings exceptional clinical expertise, advanced surgical training, and a deeply patient-centered approach to the care of women with gynecologic cancers

Dr. Hope earned her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University through an accelerated six-year BS/MD program. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and went on to complete fellowship training in gynecologic oncology through the National Capital Consortium, caring for patients at Walter Reed, Inova Fairfax Hospital, and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. During her military career, Dr. Hope served in multiple leadership roles, including Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology, Associate Program Director for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the OB/GYN residency, and Associate Program Director for the Transitional Year Internship Program.

Dr. Hope has been honored twice with the OB/GYN Residency Surgical Excellence in Teaching Award for her commitment to surgical education and mentorship. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and was selected for the prestigious designation of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons – recognizing her commitment to the highest standards in surgical care and professional achievement. Dr. Hope has numerous peer-reviewed publications with regional and national research presentations. She serves on national oncology committees and as an oral board examiner and writer for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Hope lives in San Antonio with her husband and four children. She is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of each patient and is proud to serve the women of San Antonio. Dr. Hope is currently accepting new patients and referrals.
